  1. A few meets have me scratching my head lately but I guess those Summit sophs really improved that much huh. - Mark Biros

    1. The other meet is this one. http://www.raceberryjam.com/2012/lakeccvboys.html Course seems to run faster than usual or I"m just rusty. I'm gambling 200= 14:50 or so is this course like a 200= 15:16 type course usually?

  2. Or Summit's soph was always pretty good ;)

but yes, he's improved quite a bit... I was expecting him around 180-185, so low 190's is great. He ran 15:19 at the Northwest Classic a couple weeks ago (essentially the same course as OR State), too.

As for the Minnesota course... I don't remember off the top of my head, but I will probably have a better idea later tonight (HL is my focus today)

  3. He was but I'm thinking about a 25 second improvement for one and a 45 second improvement for the other. I'm finally going through Oregon and I'm hopeful the NY/NE will sort its self out to make it easy for me this weekend at Manhattan. I can't believe how good some teams are this year.

    1. Well, he's about a minute faster than he was on both courses last year. For whatever it's worth, I have the two courses roughly equal.

And yeah, I know what you mean in regards to NY/NE and Manhattan... that's one of the major reasons why I was ok waiting this long to post an update.

    2. Maybe I'll be wrong and I"m sure Fayetteville will be strong but I"m honestly not sure how many NY teams will deserved to be ranked, I haven't seen one yet that I think is for sure a top 50. I'm sure there may be a couple NE teams hiding around in their respective states that could be deserving but we shall see in probably a few more hours or so, although after we wake up. I thought maybe I underrated the Summit guys last year, I moved up one 60 seconds and the other 30. I have St. Xavier, KY like 7th or so, can that really be true....I think it is.

    3. I guess it all depends on how heavily you are weighing this season's results (I'm guessing it's almost completely this season for you by now?)... Northport is probably going to still be in my top 50, even though they haven't run all that well to this point. No other NY team is really up there yet... I expect FM to look like a strong NY#1 after Manhattan (unless another team, like St. Anthony's, runs well there). NE seems pretty decent this year: as long as Bishop Hendricken runs to their potential, that's three strong Northeast teams.

I'll probably have St. X somewhere around 7th too, by the way. Don't think they've moved much for me at all (which is good -- means they haven't disappointed).

    4. Oh its not almost it is only weighted towards this season....well there were a few runners that didn't seem up to speed yet that I didn't penalize so I guess i'm like 95% weighted towards this year. I may of underrated Bishop Hendricken but they aren't in my top 50 yet and I still got to look at at least 20 more teams that have a good chance at being as good as I have rated them so far, but yes Manhattan should change a few things.
