MSU Spartan Invitational (MI) results

MSU Spartan Invitational MI – US#14 Julia Bos (Grand Rapids Christian) ran 17:20 to win the girls race over US#1 Erin Finn (17:35) and US#17 Hannah Meier (17:50). Teamwise, the MW#3/US#8 Grosse Pointe South MI girls won with 86 points over MW#4/US#16 Saline MI (131). On the boys side, Nathan Burnand (15:21) of Waterford Mott led his MW#3/US#18 team to victory as he beat Mason’s Tanner Hinkle (15:23), but the race wasn’t over until sixth-man Brennan Munley crossed the line at 17:08 to break the tie with unranked Saline.

Assorted Results from Sep. 8, part 2

Palmer AK – Allie Ostrander and the West Valley boys continue their dominance of the Alaskan cross country scene. The West Valley boys score 29 to beat Kodiak by 40 points despite missing one of their usual scorers, while on the girls side it was Grace Christian scoring 52 points to top Lathrop (84) and Colony (91). Ostrander cracks a 140 rating for the first time as she wins by 61 seconds over last year’s third place state finisher.
