Northwest Roundup - Sep. 15

Sundodger WA – Amy-Eloise Neale torched the course, running 16:31.12 for the 4922m layout to beat a 10:46 runner (teammate Katie Bianchini) by 55 seconds and a 4:53 runner by 95 seconds. Teamwise, it was the Glacier Peak girls and Kamiakin boys winning the team titles.

Sehome girls won with 45 points, but it went down to the sixth man tiebreaker to settle the boys race as Jackson edged Kamiak with both scoring 68 points (with Eisenhower, Squalicum and Sehome all within 11 points).

Pier Park OR – A loaded meet for its first year saw the Jesuit girls score 42 to edge South Eugene (46) and Camas (54) while the Jesuit boys (35) beat Central Catholic (58), Camas (76) and South Eugene (79). Individually, there was a showdown between super-sophs Alexa Efraimson and Sara Tsai on the girls side while Kyle Thompson won it on the boys side.

Festival of Champions OR – Tahoma boys and girls challenged for the team titles on both sides in the meet which separates runners by their position on their team (#1/2 runners in one flight, #3/4 runners in another, etc.). Overall though, it was Summit and Sunset looking like the top teams on the day.
