Northwest Results - Sep. 22

Northwest Classic OR – Grant, led by frosh Ella Donaghu’s upset win over defending state champion Paige Rice (St. Mary’s Academy), scored a big win over several of Oregon’s best teams. Grant beat Jesuit 64-76, with St. Mary’s Academy finishing third with 102, and Summit fourth with 145. On the boys side, Summit finished 1-2 while resting their top runner, but couldn’t hold on for the win as they finished fifth with 160 points. Winning the boys team race was Jesuit with 70 points, with Siuslaw (100), North Medford (139), and Sheldon (159) also finishing ahead of Summit. With noting: If Summit’s missing runner, Travis Neuman, had won the race (a decent bet, as he has been the team’s and state’s top runner before this weekend), Summit would have finished second.
