Oregon v Washington depends on criteria. Oregon may be deeper in terms of having more "elite" teams. But I think WA will beat OR at borderclash again. Regarding who does better at NXR I think that's up in the air.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I meant: actual teams, not all-star teams at BorderClash. I think Washington still has the edge on the individuals side (Washington 3A is pretty good).
DeleteMy point: North Central looked like the best team in Washington at the state qualifying meets, and if they duplicated that race I don't know if they'd beat out Central Catholic let alone Crater or Summit. Most years, Washington teams make up the bulk of the Northwest's top 10/15, but we might only see 2-3 in the top 10 this year while Oregon might have that many in the top 6.
I don't think there's any question that North Central is the top boys team in WA thus year (right now, relatively healthy, besides Hank Knight apparently out for the season). I wouldn't discount NC taking the top spot in Boise too with the experience they have doing well there.
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree it is possible that North Central can win the title, my point was that the top Oregon teams looked stronger last weekend.
