A pair of quick updates:
On Monday, August 24, the Washington XC Season officially began with the first official practice of the season! The first meet will kick off on September 4 with the Hanford Jamboree (most of the MCC plus a trio of local 1A/2A schools), and the nationally ranked Camas WA girls begin their season the next day as they host the GSHL (Greater St. Helens League) Jamboree on September 5.
My Washington All-Class and 4A Girls rankings have been updated due to new information regarding an incoming freshman's new school, and there is also news that the 4A Southwest Regional is making a return this year (District III and District IV did not come to terms last year due to the GSHL/District IV feeling like they should have gotten more spots in the regional meet than the District III leagues were offering). Once I find out how that might change the allocations I will update the 4A postings.
And so it begins. Now we begin to find out, who put in the work, who didn't and who's injured.
ReplyDeleteEarly news:
DeleteLooks like Sunset has a dynamite freshman (10:11.6 at the Wilsonville Night Meet, which is faster than Paige Rice ran there and second only to Ella Donaghu's 9:57 last year, though her results this year haven't been posted yet). Unless Jesuit or Summit has one to match that should put Sunset on top of the Oregon girls rankings.
