Lincoln boys and the Sunset girls were the top teams at the annual Wilsonville Night Meet, a quick and fast 3k race ran in flights by athlete class. The biggest news out of the meet was that Sunset has a very good freshman girl (Ember Stratton) to compliment their already established front trio, giving them arguably the Northwest’s strongest team through four runners (though Camas and possibly Bozeman might disagree). The other big news was the showdown between several of the top senior boys in the state, where West Linn’s Ollar twins finished first and third with Forest Grove’s Murimi Nyamu edging Grayson for second with Roman securing the win.

As you might notice, the Sunset girls held out their returning top 7, though freshman Ember Stratton will certainly be a scorer for them this fall based on the time posted here.
Rob. I just saw the results from Camas. The Matons have apparently relocated there from Bend. Daniel Maton is a freshman at Camas, and had a very good showing. Rachel Blair had a great start as well.

DeleteA note on those results, they are still in the process of uploading the results. They did it by hand and it looks like they are slowly going race by race, team by team, to enter the results. Freshmen and Sophomore are almost complete, but the other races haven't been started yet beyond what other teams have entered on their own.
Blair dominated the Freshman race pretty easily, she was probably capable of running plenty faster. Jenkins and Wilson also separated themselves early on in the sophomore race. Although it's not included in the results yet, Camas' senior Maddie Woodson also ran pretty well. Camas looked very strong.
