Note: This is NOT including two key runners on these teams who have been M.I.A. during the championship season (Kai Wilmot for North Central WA boys and Caroline Hardin for Bozeman MT). Were those runners running where they were earlier in the year, Bozeman is a NW Top 13 team (and North Central would have an even larger lead as NW#1)
I will update this with individuals if I have time late this week.
How much ahead do you have Summit over Kamiakin, CV and Hale?
ReplyDeleteIt depends on who is in the race and how many teams are in the race, but in the merge of the best 27 teams (which is what these rankings were based off of), Summit is about 10 points ahead of Kamiakin, 45 ahead of CV and 70 ahead of Hale
DeleteAnd that gap will shrink as weaker teams replace the missing Top-27 teams, to a point where Kamiakin might be ahead of Summit when looking at the teams that will be on the line this Saturday.
DeleteI think when it all shakes out on Saturday it will end up being very close for that second spot. I wouldn't be shocked if Summit, Kamiakin, Hale, CV and even Prep are all within 20-30 points.
