Summary: In the showdown between Montana's best and many of the Spokane area's best, Bozeman swept the team titles over Lewis & Clark on the boys side (62-122) and over Billings Senior on the girls side (57-141) with some very strong showings in this high caliber meet. Also of significant national note, Tiahna Vladic won the girls race in 17:04.63 after battling with Glacier's Annie Hill through 2 miles. Hill had the advantage at the 2 mile mark, but struggled over the final mile to finish in 12th. Bozeman girls showed strong pack running up front as they claimed the #3-5 positions with Piper Meuwissen (17:35.43), Camila Noe (17:39.80), and Kenenni Wiegand (17:41.75) beating the defending Idaho 4A State Champion Katherine Ruck (17:44.35).

  1. Bozeman looks strong. They have benefited from a transfer. Leonard McComas moved from Manhattan Montana. It appears some of their varsity from last year may not make varsity this year. Riley Collins (#1 last year) hasn't been up to form yet either.
    Maybe Summit or maybe North Central would be #2 so far. And Tahoma has 2 freshman varsity runners. Watchout for them.

  2. Summit hasn't looked very good. North Central looked GREAT at Firman, though. I'll do a quick post looking at ROUGH comparisons from last week for some sort of reference, since most of the top teams were spread between only 5 meets.
