Texas Regional Ratings

I took a quick stab at rough ratings for the Texas Regional meets to see how the best teams and individuals in the South (which is always vastly dominated by Texas) compare to the NW/SW teams. Looks like there is some good individuals (in particular Ryan Schoppe from LaPorte, he had good track times this spring in 4:07, 8:52 and 14:27 and has been completely untested this fall), and a handful of boys teams that would be competitive, but the girls side looks pretty weak for teams.

(note: I only looked at the 6A and 5A races, because the UIL is still a bit behind the times and run 2 miles races for girls in the 4A and smaller classifications - a trend of girls running shorter distance than boys that used to be more widespread but is now down to it's last few strongholds -- I think it's just Texas and maybe Oklahoma left that does that now that the Heartland states have transitioned to full distances)
